Croon Caribe is known as a reliable and innovative technical contractor with strong roots in the local communities and strong support from its parent company. The regional head office in Aruba employs approximately 90 people and is active in Utilities and Industrial projects as well as Commercial and Residential projects.
On the island of Aruba, the Service and Maintenance Department provides a wide range of technical services, from data and automation to inspections and air conditioning. Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a Site Engineer (Werkvoorbereider) for the HVAC department.

About the role

As a Site Engineer, you play a key role in the successful execution of our projects. You are responsible for preparing, coordinating and supervising technical activities on site, ensuring that projects are executed according to planning, quality standards and budget.
You work under the direction of the Department Head and/or Project Managers and collaborate closely with project engineers, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Activities included in this position:

  • Preparing work packages, planning and work instructions for projects
  • Cost calculation for projects
  • Coordinating site activities
  • Translating engineering designs into practical and efficient execution plans
  • Coordinating materials, tools, equipment and manpower in cooperation with purchasing and logistics
  • Monitoring progress, quality, safety and costs during project execution
  • Identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions
  • Reporting on project status, progress and technical issues to project management
  • Participating in site meetings with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, standards and safety requirements
  • Contributing to improvements and optimizations in work preparation and site execution

Experience

  • MBO working and thinking level (or equivalent through experience)
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Technical background in mechanical installations
  • Good command of the English and Dutch languages (Papiamento and/or Spanish is a strong plus)
  • Stress-resistant, well-organized and a true team player
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Must be in possession of a valid driving license
