Operations Manager

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the strategic, tactical and operational management of our business. You will work closely with the Management Team, Operations colleagues and Project Managers and report on market development, development and automation of business processes, capacity planning, and the growth of our people and technologies. You are the driving force behind our operations — ensuring quality, safety, and financial performance go hand in hand.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the Operations Department of Croon Caribe including Purchasing, Logistics and Warehousing, IT and QAQC/HSE including managing solid budgets for your areas of responsibility, ensuring accurate financial planning and reporting.
  • Advise, develop and lead the adoption of innovations and automatization in (financial) work methods, and project approaches to optimize lifecycle performance and cost efficiency including optimization in our ERP (AFAS). 
  • Drive the implementation and compliance of company policies across procurement, risk management, financial management, contract management, quality assurance, HSE, and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations, compliance, insurance, standards, and legislation in the areas of quality, health & safety, environment, and company-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate actively with Business Support departments within Croonwolter&dros, leveraging shared tools and best practices.
  • Continuously identify and drive improvements in internal business processes. 

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in an operational management role, preferably in a technical or project-driven environment.
  • Strong financial experience with budget management and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical business management (Technische Bedrijfskunde), financial management, business administration or other related field. 
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset 
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations, quality standards, and contract management.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Papiamento, Dutch, and/or Spanish is a strong advantage.
