Succesfull handover Aruba Airport Gateway 2030 phase 1A
Aruba Airport's Gateway 2030 Phase 1A project features the brand-new US Departures terminal. Set to become operational in early 2025, this state-of-the-art facility includes an advanced baggage handling system designed to enhance efficiency and streamline the travel experience for passengers.
Gateway 2030 is a project that has a price tag of more than $140 million and will generate between 200 and 300 direct and indirect employment. This major project will have a positive economic spin-off effect for Aruba, as it will generate revenue for the Government in the form of taxes. It is a crucial project for the expansion and renovation of our Airport. Local contracting companies carry out the expansion work, and most of the construction materials are acquired locally. Croon Caribe is one of them!
On June 20th 2024 Minister of Tourism of Aruba, Dangui Oduber, attended the official handover ceremony for Phase 1-A of the Gateway 2030 project at the airport. He expressed his pride and admiration for the project’s progress. Croon Caribe is one of the 5 local contractors and focused on several electrical works, CCTV and Access Control and therefor was invited to this exceptional moment.
