Croon Caribe celebrated the farewell of Wim Hoenink as Managing Director
On October 23th 2025 Croon Caribe celebrated the farewell of Wim Hoenink as being Managing Director of the Aruba branch for the last 30 years.
Wim Hoenink started his career, after finishing his study’s in The Netherlands, as project engineer at Bopel N.V. in the early 1990s before being hired at ‘Croon Elektrotechniek Aruba N.V.’ In 1995 he took position as Managing Director and successfully led the company for the next 3 decades. During that time, under his leadership, Croon developed into one of the top companies in Aruba focusing on electrical, low voltage, maintenance and HVAC systems- and works. Offering services to clients like the airport, hospital, WEB, high-end hotels and (light) commercial businesses.
With over 85 colleagues, Wim’s family and friends, the board of director from our parent company in The Netherlands and business relations we stood still by this tremendous milestone on the 23th of October at Papiamento Restaurant.
Wim shall be succeeded by Rob Timmers. Rob is involved in both Croon Caribe and Croonwolter&dros for the last 5 years and formally took over the position as Managing Director on August 1st 2025. By filling in the former position of Wim by Rob Croon Caribe is set and determined to keep providing continuous quality and service to our clients, employees, relations and the island of Aruba.
We are happy that Wim will be involved with Croon Caribe for the next months to make sure there will be a smooth and complete transition in leadership.
